The Quality Commission of the Property Protection and Security Department at the Vocational School of Social Sciences held the first meeting of the 2026-2027 academic year online via ASÜM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 11:30. The meeting was chaired by Commission Chair Lecturer Dr. Fahri AKBAŞ and attended by commission members Lecturer Dr. Murat AS, Lecturer Dr. Emre ÜRÜN, and Lecturer İbrahim Gökhan DİVANOĞLU.
The following topics were discussed and resolved during the meeting:
Unit Quality Policy: The educational processes and quality initiatives of the Private Security and Protection and the Occupational Health and Safety programs were evaluated; it was decided to maintain current practices and implement necessary improvements in areas where a need was identified.
Views and suggestions submitted by the Department Advisory Board were evaluated; it was decided to incorporate external stakeholder feedback into educational and quality assurance processes and to follow up on approved suggestions through the relevant units and commissions.
2026-2027 Department Quality Action Plan: An action plan, prepared based on areas for improvement identified in the 2024 Unit Self-Evaluation Report, was adopted. The plan includes concrete targets in the areas of leadership, governance and quality, education and training, research and development, and societal contribution; the status of its implementation will be monitored by the commission at the end of each semester. 2026 Unit Self-Assessment Report (BÖDR): The division of labor for the report's preparation was determined, and a work schedule was established.
The meeting also addressed increasing participation in student feedback surveys and the contribution of the revamped department website to the transparency of quality processes.
